Become a certified Open Water Diver with SSI. This globally recognized certification program is the best way to begin your lifelong adventures as a certified scuba diver. Personalized training is combined with in-water practice sessions to ensure you have the skills and experience required to become truly comfortable underwater. You will earn the SSI Open Water Diver certification.

How the course works
Everything you need to plan around the course — how long it takes, where it happens and what the price covers.
- Theory
- SSI digital learning — online, at your own pace, plus a live run-through with the instructor before we meet in the water.
- Pool sessions
- At a pool in London, or in the heated indoor training pool at Stoney Cove. How many sessions depends on how quickly the skills come together — training is one to one, not on a fixed timetable.
- Open water dives
- Four open water training dives, as required for SSI certification. Wraysbury, Stoney Cove or Vobster Quay, depending on the course.
- How long it takes
- It depends on you. The in-water part takes at least three days; the theory you do online and we go through it live.
- Included in the price
- The SSI online learning materials, the equipment for the course, and the certification.
- Paid separately
- Site entry fees.

- Scheduled course dates run through the year, and I also arrange courses individually — tell me what suits you.
THE PAYOFF
Once you are certified, you can
- Dive with a qualified buddy, without an instructor
- Dive to a maximum depth of 18 metres
- Rent equipment and join dive trips worldwide
- Continue with speciality courses such as Perfect Buoyancy or Deep Diving
